On Wednesday the 8th grade trip took place. These field trips are not common trips, because they only happen once a year. They are normally about 3 days long. Commonly these trips are educational and we have to write on a journal the things we learned, but this time it was different. Since this year we graduate and we move on to high school, it was a fun trip. We didn’t have to write on a journal or learn anything it was all fun. We had to be at school at 6:30 am, I woke up at 6:20, I was really scared I was not going to get their on time, so I took a fast bath and then they took me to school. I live a bit far from my school, but surprisingly there was no traffic at all, so I got there at 6:30. Most of the people had not arrived to school yet so I was really relieved I did not come late. One by one the people came, and after a while we were all there. The bus ride was really calm, everything was peaceful, and their was no trouble at all, until we were half way their…. There was a weird sound that came from the motor of the bus, the bus driver ignored it and soon it was making noise again. The bus driver got out of the bus to see what was the problem and this fire belt, or something similar was damaged. He said that we couldn’t continue because that part of the engine was really important. Suddenly another bus popped out of nowhere and offered us he could take us to the place we had to go. We went to this canopy called ”Superman”. They put this suite that holds your legs and body, because you go on this line as if you were superman. It was kind of scary at the beginning when the canopy guides were about to launch you off. It felt unstable, but then it was not scary at all and was really good. After that we went to a pretty nice hotel, and in there they gave us our roommates. My roommates were really cool and we spend a good time. The next day we went rafting! Rafting was my favorite part of the trip because it was really fun and fast. The guide gave us the instructions of what to do in case you fall, before we went rafting. After that we were all set, and we went rafting. It was really funny to see the people falling in the rapids. I never fell in a rapid; I just threw my self out of the boat. Something really funny happened during the rafting. My friend fell off the boat in a rapid, he was “drowning”. He was not really drowning but he looked like it so I supposed I should help him. I did something the guide warned not to do, jump off the boat to save somebody. Any ways, to make the long story short, I went to “save” him but instead of saving him I saved his rowing utensil. After that I got back on the boat and helped him up. After the fun rafting experience, we went to the beach. It was a really nice beach because it had big waves and it was nice and hot. In there we played Football, and it was really fun. The only bad thing about it is that many people had injuries because we were playing tackle Football. The next day was the last day of our trip. I was really sad because it passed really fast and it was nearly time to go. What we did was go to Manuel Antonio National Park, and do community service. What we did was only rake leaves off a path. After the leaf raking we went back to the beach. We played more Football and also went “body surfing” on the beach. After the beach we ate in a really good restaurant and then we left to the hotel. There we took a bus back to school. Overall this was the best school trip I’ve gone, and it would be really fun to do these activities again.
